Classes for a Cause

The Stay-at-Home Somm is a collaborative effort to support newly unemployed hospitality professionals in a variety of positions.  The project is designed to:

• Provide an educational service and connective experience similar to the ones that were provided during restaurant service.  Classes will allow those who have not been financially affected by Covid-19 to directly support individuals while benefiting from a home activity in return.
• Give displaced beverage professionals like Sommeliers a relevant project that utilizes their skills while they are unable to work.
• Keep our hospitality communities connected by drawing awareness to Austin businesses (restaurants, retailers, Texas wineries) and encourage people to conscientiously consume.
